We are dedicated to preserving memories with professional care and quality craftsmanship. Your custom headstone will always be there to memorialize your loved one, and we are here to guide you along the way.

A True Craftsman

Jim Sadler started out on a life-long career as a memorialist back in 1959 in Durant, OK. Honing and refining his skills under some of the best craftsman in our profession. In 1962 he came to Slaton ,TX. and began working for Lubbock Monument. Setting out to take care of families in a special way he and Paula opened the doors of Sadler Monument Works, Inc. in 1988. To this day you can find Jim and Paula on that same corner still helping families create memories in stone.

Humble Beginnings

Our family business was founded on July 1, 1988 by Jim and Paula Sadler in Slaton, TX. and since that time we have served thousands of satisfied families on the South Plains, treating each memorial with the love and care of a friend, a member of our family. From our humble beginnings in a backyard in Slaton TX. We have built a reputation for the highest quality craftsmanship on the South Plains. Today with three sales and display offices we still provide the same service that we have from the beginning. Always keeping our focus on providing families the very best memorial service around.

Future Generations

Destined to be a memorialist John Mark was 8 when his father started the family business. Growing up around the memorial industry he learned respect for the craft and and attention to the way families should be cared for. He and his wife Nicole took ownership in 2009 continuing in the traditions laid out by his parents. We are proud of our long family heritage in the memorial industry and each memorial is hand crafted with great care. We will design, carve and inscribe your memorial in our studio workshop Slaton, Texas.

"Our Family Serving Your Family"

We understand that your memorial should signify more than just a grave location. Monuments are built because someone lived, not because someone died. Their purpose is to pay homage to the deceased, commemorating what their life was about and when they died, while allowing future generations a way to connect to our past. We are not a large mass producer of monuments, but rather take the time to carve memorials one at a time to insure the quality that we demand. We are here to help you preserve the memory of your loved ones. Our family will always work hard to provide you with quality crafted monuments to reflect and remember the lives of your family. Our experience assures our valued customers get the highest quality monuments, our compassion guarantees your satisfaction, and our highly skilled monument designers produce the finest memorials on the South Plains.
